I’m Abayomi Popoola, an engineering leader and entrepreneur. I build products, design systems, and lead teams, with a focus on distributed systems, payments, and developer tooling.

I’ve helped build dozens of products, mostly in small, fast-moving teams. Much of my work has been in payments, and the infrastructure behind them. More recently, I’ve been building developer tools and exploring local AI inference on Apple Silicon.

I’ve led engineering organisations and stayed hands-on with architecture and code. I enjoy connecting technical decisions to business needs, whether that means shaping a platform, improving reliability, or getting a new product into people’s hands. See more on my LinkedIn .
